Toddler Tuesday - Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Today Was Toddler Tuesday at the Museum.  The theme today was Firemen and Firetrucks.

Mommy tried really hard to get Duncan to eat breakfast before going, but it didn't work to well.  Fortunately he ate a squeezy food in the car.

When we got to the museum our registration actually hadn't taken online.  So, we had to re-register and then we went back to the classroom.  Last month we were in the gallery because the rain had flooded the classroom.

Duncan was quite happy to walk up to the museum today.

The kids all got to learn how to "Stop. Drop. and Roll." - Duncan is on the floor beside the child in the blue t-shirt.

Three firemen came to talk to the kids.  One of the firemen dressed fully in his uniform for the kids to see.

It was explained to the children that although the outfit looks and sounds scary that it is a good thing.  The children were also taught never to hid during a fire and to always stay where a firefighter can see you.

The highlight of Duncan's day was getting to spray the water hose.

Duncan was very excited over the bell.

He was also very excited over the fire hydrant.

What would a day be without rock picking?

This is a group shot of some of the kids who weren't too scared to get close to the truck.

This is Duncan crying (actually sobbing) when we got home because Poppa wasn't at home.  He was afraid that he left to go on a long trip again.

We had grits with bacon and cheese for supper.  This time I didn't get it wrong!

This box was a sweet reminder of Daddy and how much he loves us.

We gave more boxes to Uncle Jay Jay and Auntie Jenn Jenn

Mommy started going through papers.

Mommy cleared out these containers and more of old mail and papers, magazines and the like.

And, of course, what would a day in the life be without dumping out the toys that Mommy cleaned up?

All-in-all it was a pretty neat day that we're happy to share with you!
