Friday May 25th

Today was a Long - Long - Very Long Day.

Today Jay and Jenn signed their papers for their house, got their keys and had their house cleaned.

Nene and Mommy watched Kaana and Duncan all day.

Nene gave Duncan and Kaana new stuffed animals and books.

Duncan was given the giraffe and Kaana was given the frog.  But, they switched.

They had great fun on the see-saw and then they were ready for a craft!

Kaana ate her crayon.

  Then Duncan tried his.

They had a great time coloring the box for Daddy/Uncle David!

Then Kaana and Duncan settled down for a snack and watched Bubble Guppies

Kaana snuggled up to Mommy and took a nap on Duncan's bed for about an hour.

After Kaana's naptime was snack-time.  Then, Mommy put Duncan's baby game on her computer for Kaana.  But, Kaana turned Mommy's screen sideways!!!

By 4 in the afternoon Nene and Mommy had had about as much fun as they could handle (the AC people had also been in and out all day long.)

So, Mommy put Kaana and Duncan in their highchairs and gave them whipped cream and Nene gave them puffs and they made, and ate, tray art!!!

Mommy and Duncan went outside to check on their plants.

Our Beans and growing tall.  They are almost ready for transplant.

Our squash is potentially frustratingly hopeless...

Our blackberries are well on their way to yummy!

Our strawberries are doing well.  We just need to get more!

And, our only two tomatoes continue to grow!

And, of course, here's the standard water shot.

While we were outside Janet sent Mommy and text to let her know if would be a good time to come over and look at Brianna's two puppies to see if we would be interested in one of these two for Duncan's medic alert/sensory companion service dog.

So, Mommy went to see the puppies.

Mommy liked both puppies but the boy really stole Mommy's heart.

It will still be a few weeks before Duncan gets to meet the puppies.
If we do choose one of these two puppies we will be able to bring him home in about five weeks.  So, roughly the first week of July.

Mommy has already found appropriate placement programs to start puppy training in as well as Duncan safe dog food and dog treats.

When Mommy got home Duncan and Kaana were having fun playing doctor with Auntie Jenn Jenn.

Earlier in the Day Kaana Bella kept carrying Duncan's Superman Undies around.  While Mommy was gone she got a pair and figured out how to put them on her head!  She is a fashionista!  (She LOVED looking at dresses on modcloth.com with Mommy earlier in the day.)

Mommy cuddled and rocked Kaana to sleep again while Duncan was fixing Auntie Jenn Jenn

Duncan was very wound up from the days' activities and had a need to tie things in Nene's sewing room around 8/9ish at night.

He was quite handy, as always, and really managed to do a great sturdy job.

By the end of the night Duncan's hair looked like Alfalfa (from whipped cream) and he was very upset about the big move and very tired!

He eventually fell asleep in Mommy's arms while watching Pound Puppies (the new one.)

Saturday, May 26th - The Big Move

So, today was the day of Jason and Jenn's Big Move.

Jacob, Tia and Nanny Carmen came to help.

Mommy watched Kaana Bella most of the day.

After naptime Mommy and Duncan went out to get some fresh air and to get some small gifts for all of the 'babies.'

First we went to TJ Maxx and Mommy found some new pj's since she's probably never getting her Mommy Blanket Back!

Duncan had fun in the dressing room.

We found Duncan-safe treats for Winnie!

Mommy even found the perfect tin-relief for our bathroom!  Mommy has been looking for a LONG time to find something appropriate.

Then we went in Petsmart so that Duncan could see all of the animals and look at the dog leashes (his favorite.)

Duncan even lost Mommy's keys in the leash aisle!

This is the scene of the crime.  If you look under Duncan's right ear that dark spot of the shelf is Mommy's keys.

The manager helped Mommy look for her keys.  But, Mommy found them first!

Duncan wanted to buy Winnie and small stuffed cow and Milo a small stuffed pig.

Mommy also picked up the AKC booklet on Shih Tzu's that includes a basic training DVD.

Then we went in Target and got coffee and ice water.

Duncan loves to look at all of the interactive toys in Target.

We got a small present to take to Kaana for her new house because she'll miss all of Duncan's cars.

And a small gift for Duncan as well because of all the changes.

Green Lantern

Once we got home we hung out for a bit with Nene.  Kaana, Auntie Jenn and Uncle Jay brought Jacob back to get his truck.  They stayed for a bit to get cool and then went to their new house for the night.  Their AC broke on moving day!

By eleven p.m. Duncan was exhausted.  He passed out in Mommy's arms while she was reading the Shih Tzu book.

Good night world and sweet Shih Tzu dreams.

May 23rd - Our Day

For the most part today was low-key.

While I waited in anticipation for the Blue Ridge Assistance Dogs to call us back I had breakfast.

Organic Milk, Medicines, an orange, walnuts, 4 strawberries, a mozzarella cheese wheel and part of a choco strawberry cupcake.

Duncan eventually joined me and had breakfast too.
In fact, Duncan ate a lot today. (BTW- Photo not from breakfast.)

After Breakfast Duncan had fun in Poppa and Nene's room under Poppa's watch.
Poppa was very anxious to come out to the kitchen to tell Mommy that she just HAD to see what Duncan and done...and to take her camera too!
Mommy was told that the Blue was a river and that the toilet paper holder was the steering wheel.  I think we've watched a little too much Go Diego Go!

I'm not sure what was going on here; But, I'm guessing Duncan was trying to climb up to Poppa's Dresser.

Mommy and Duncan went back downstairs to watch some cartoons for a bit so that Mommy could start more clean-up/clean-out.
Note that this is the paper hamper from under the desk.

Mommy got a call from a lady at Seton Home School that was very nice.  Her daughter is 27 and has Asperger's so she was able to really connect on a lot of levels.

This is what Duncan did in the meantime.

We ate some more and then went downstairs for a nap.  Duncan napped - Mommy worked.  Mommy was very happy to work because she's finally starting to feel better.

Notice that the hamper is empty!  (And our dark basket is empty too!)

I found our gift enclosure cards! (They were separated from the envelopes earlier last week!)

After Duncan's nap we watched Pound Puppies (the new one.)  Duncan took his whole nap in his room!  This is the first time he's done this since Daddy left.  After his nap he was very cuddly.

When we came upstairs Duncan was in a silly mood.  This is Duncan in Poppa's Pants.

We had an afternoon snack and then supper.  Mommy was missing Daddy so she decided to drink out of his Green Lantern glass.

One final picture:

This little piece of sunshine Duncan insisted on buying for Nene after we dropped you off at the airport.  Now it's by the front door.

We LOVE you!!!
